ⅠIntroduction

Plant polyphenol, also known as Plant Tannin, is a complex phenolic secondary metabolite in Plant, with polyphenol structure, mainly exists in Plant skin, root, leaf and fruit, the content of cellulose, hemicellulose and Lignin in plants is second only to cellulose, hemicellulose and Lignin.

In the narrow sense, plant polyphenols are considered as Tannin or Tannins, and their relative molecular weight is between 500 and 3000, such as Proanthocyanidin, catechins, Quercetin, gallic acid, ellagic acid, hydroquinone O-beta-D-glucopyranoside and other natural phenols. Plant Polyphenols, also known as special molecular structure of the bioflavonoids, are natural antioxidants, is internationally recognized, so far known substances in the strongest free radical scavengers, generally red-brown powder. The human body can not produce polyphenols by itself, and plants are the only source to obtain polyphenols.
